But then, didn't New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin say Hurricane Katrina had killed as many as 10,000 people? (About 1,800 died from Katrina, and that includes those outside New Orleans.)
Does Nagin have those buses gassed up yet?
Why bother? If they'll re-elect him after 1,000 die, what's the incentive to save lives?

The only gas I'm seeing here is you. I bet you think horse trainer Michael Brown did a bang-up job the last time the South faced a catastrophic storm, delivering bottled hot water to dehydrated babies like he did.

You driving the buses this time, Wow?
How many were murdered, raped or killed by dehydration at the Superdome three years ago?
Who warned Nagin to evacuate New Orleans even before Katrina got there? Where did Nagin's family go?
Just asking.

Let's hope Bush, Jindal, and Nagin get it right this time. If they do it will be clear that these leaders were able to learn from mistakes.
