Gorki Aguila, a Cuban arrested for singing songs against Fidel Castro’s tyranny, was convicted of “public disorder” two days ago and fined $28. Fortunately, he was released.
The Castro mob was afraid to let the kangaroo court find him guilty of the more serious charge of “social dangerousness,” which would carry a four-year prison sentence. Fidel and Raul Castro fear the Cuban people are ready to spring up for freedom at any moment. The Castros don’t want to turn a popular rocker into a martyr by putting him in jail.
‘No more lies, old man.’ What offense did Aguila and his band, Porno Para Ricardo (Porno for Ricardo), commit? Why was he hauled in by the Castro police?
Well, he wrote songs calling Fidel Castro a liar and slavemaster, and Porno Para Ricardo played the songs loudly. One song, “Tan Loco” (So Crazy) translates into:
I wished I could believe in them
I’d like to but I can’t
I am a bad son
they all complain
they spent their money
teaching me what they wanted
They did get me to think
and now at least my mind is free
I wished I could believe in them
I’d like to but I can’t
No more lies, old man
Tired of oppression. While Gorki Aguila was in jail, protesters at a Havana concert unfurled a banner calling for his freedom, and chanted, “Gorki! Gorki! Gorki!” Security forces rushed in and beat the protesters.
In Cuba, a $28 fine is the equivalent of about six weeks’ wages.
When he was released by the Castro mob’s court, Aguila was unrepentant.
“I feel even more hate for this tyranny,” he said.
Now there is a democrat with cojones!

Gorki Aguila wasn´t arrested for criticize the comunism. He was arrested because the neighborhoods called the police from the noise that the group was making.

Patrick, that's what Fidel and Raul Castro want us to believe because they insist that they are popular. Who elected them?
I suppose all those who have been arrested and murdered by Fidel Castro were arrested and murdered because they made noise. Is that it, Patrick? The noise didn't please Fidel, therefore he murdered in the name of silence?
The noise Fidel Castro does not like is the word "libertad." When someone calls Fidel a "liar," Fidel says that word is noise. When someone calls Fidel a "tyrant," Fidel say that word is illegal noise.
Patrick appears to be a Brazilian who opposes freedom. If someone criticizes tyranny, Patrick immediately believes the protester could not possibly want to be free. It must be that that protester is on drugs, or making too much noise.
Patrick, you should stop defending dictators and murderers. You should help to liberate the world.
Fidel is the total capitalist. He runs a monopoly and owns all the workers. And if the workers don't like living in slavery, Fidel will imprison them, or kill them. Patrick likes Fidel, owner of slaves and murderer of democrats.

Você deve ajudar a liberar o mundo.
