And not one demonstration from Europe's "anti-war" activists.
By murder, Russia has won control of every Eastern oil and natural gas route into Europe. The leaders of democratic Europe have surrendered. Georgia will be "demilitarized," making it completely subject to Russia's despotic will.
Democracy has been overturned in the name of a few Russians living in Georgia and in the service of Russian anti-democratic power.
Europe had better start building nuclear power plants, and Poland had better stockpile nuclear weapons. Georgia is only a catastrophic precedent.

UPDATE AUG. 13: But wait, there's hope!
One thing that Russia may have lost is the propaganda war. There is now little doubt of the nature of the Russian government. I'm expecting that we'll soon find out if there are any more Solzhenitsyns in that benighted land. The Cold War has begun anew.
