Remember Civil War trading cards?

In the early 1960s, a century after the War Between the States, Civil War trading cards were popular among schoolchildren. The artwork on the various battles wasn't bad, and I think the cards came with bubble gum.

The "Painful Death" card still sticks in my mind as particularly shocking.

I'll trade you a "Merrimac Sinks" for a "General Grant."
