It's mind-boggling how much time it took Chris Matthews to get to the basic question on President Obama's birth certificate:
"Why has the president himself not demanded they put out the original documents? If it exists, why not put it out?"
I believe Obama was born in Hawaii. I'm as certain of it as I am certain of anything I wasn't directly involved in. But just I wanted to see the original Declaration of Independence, I want access to every document involving our history and our national leaders, including this president's original birth certficate.
Early in Obama's presidency, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs managed to smother the curiosity of the press by labeling anyone who asked anything about the birth certificate as "birthers." How easily cowed they were.
Hillary Clinton once thought we should see it. Other Democrats sued to see it, but were denied in the courts. The birth certificate is part of our history. Now let's see it.

Obama and Democrats have spent $millions defending against lawsuits to see the actual birth certificate. If I were being sued to show my birth certificate, I wouldn't waste $1 fighting it. It is just one more example of how Obama doesn't understand the value of a dollar. He has virtually zero experience in the private sector. He has no concept of what it is like to actually work for a living. He has never even run a lemonade stand.
