Listed below are links to weblogs that reference President Obama: ‘I can’t spend all my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead’:

All his time? He hasn't spent any time convincing anyone any differently.

And he sure has spent plenty of time golfing and standing up for an unnecessary mosque 550ft from Ground Zero where Muhammed Atta's jet landing gear crashed through the former Burlington Coat Factory. I guess it doesn't bother Obama that this mosque that can be built will be run by a guy who is anti-American, pro-Hamas, and supports Shariah law. Is that the brand of Islam that Obama believes in?

Jon

I guess it didn't bother George W Bush either when he hand picked Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf to be dispatched around the globe to discuss the Islamic faith in America on behalf of the Bush administration.

I would like to think that my brothers and I fought in Iraq for liberation of Muslims, not only in Iraq, but in America as well. I've been talking to my military brothers recently and we've been asking ourselves, why did we go fight to free Muslims in Iraq and they can't even be free here to build a mosque anywhere they want?!

We didn't ask all the Catholic Churches to move if they were blocks away from schools full of children with all the child crimes the Catholic Church has committed. We shouldn't need to ask Rauf to move the Mosque either. This is what we fought for in Iraq, muslim liberation!

Frank Warner

Muslims should be able to, and can, build a mosque anywhere it is legal to build any house of worship in the United States, even if the location offends others because it reminds them that a few Muslim terrorists took down the World Trade Center two blocks away.

Those who are offended also have a right to be offended, and they have a right to express why they're offended. That's how freedom works.

As for the liberation of Iraq: That wasn't for "Muslim liberation," even if ending fascism there had the effect of liberating a predominantly Muslim nation. The liberation of Iraq was for the liberation of all Iraqis, who are free under their new constitution to worship as they please, to speak as they please, to organize political parties freely and periodically to elect their leaders in free elections.

I still want to see that original birth certificate. It's interesting how Democrats don't dare reveal they're curious, too.

Jon

I'm an Independent and I don't care about the certificate. I'm sure the homework was done before hand and he was vetted before he ran for Congress and the Presidency. I'm not too worried about it.

I was there fighting to free Iraqis who are roughly 98% Muslim. I think its safe to say we fought to free a Muslim nation.

All this hatred of Islam is just putting our soldiers at more risk. It's becoming a great recruiting tool for Al Queda. Stop the hate!! You're killing us!! Literally!!

Interesting how Republicans don't mention the Bush Administrations involvement with Abdul Rauf.

Frank Warner

Hey, I voted for Obama and I want to see his birth certificate. I want to know everything I can about every president. You apparently choose to remain ignorant. Fine, that's your right.

Build the mosque. Build it 100 stories high. I don't care, and I don't think most people care if they build a mosque.

Some do wonder if choosing that spot was an act of hate. I don't think so. But in a free country, people have the right to ask.

Jon

I don't choose to be ignorant. One thing they make certain of in the vetting process is if the candidate is a citizen correct? There's bigger fish to fry than debating about this.

I challenge my government every chance I get actually for answers, but in this case, I think it's silly and divisive. I think the Right is just asking for pure political reasons. They want to create a cloud in hopes of a victory for their party. Pure and simple. If you don't see that, that's the real ignorance about the situation!

There's mosques all over Manhattan. There's one just blocks from the planned site now. How far is far enough?

I didn't fight in Iraq for this! I'm a member of the United States, I don't think I'm ignorant!

Have a good day man! Jon

Frank Warner

"One thing they make certain of in the vetting process is if the candidate is a citizen correct?"

Who is "they"? Democrats, yes Democrats, went to court demanding to see the original birth certificate, but "they" -- the judges -- didn't let those Democrats see it.

I believe Obama was born in Hawaii. I believe he's qualified to be president, or I wouldn't have voted for him. I still want to see the birth certificate to learn all sorts of other things about him. There would be a lot of basic information to examine, if "they" would make it public.

It's fine there are mosques all over Manhattan, and it will be fine if Muslims build more. It's also fine that Americans -- Muslims and others -- are free to express their opinions about religion, politics or anything else. A lot of people have fought and died to preserve that freedom. Defeating tyrants wasn't for nothing.

Good day!

Jon

The question I asked was a serious question, not a sarcastic rhetorical question. I assume each candidate is vetted through a process.

Obama's Birth Certificate

Born in the USA

Can we give this a rest or must it continue?!

Absolutely, we fight for that type of freedom. Everyone has the right to disagree with the mosque. However, my opinion is this, I strongly believe that there's muslim hatred based on misinformation. This is my point. I don't think many people believe its a religion of peace as Bush stated. I believe they reference it to the 9/11 attacks and as a result you get a dangerous situation.

Islam didn't attack us on 9/11, muslims didn't attack us 9/11. Terrorists, which whom some happened to be muslim, attacked us.

Frank, I enjoy the conversations. And I'm glad I came across your website and I thank you for allowing me to participate in the discussion.

Hope you have a good night! Jon

Frank Warner

Again, I want to see the original birth certificate, the one that was filled out at the hospital in 1961.

The Barack Obama document everyone shows us is an official document, but Hawaii printed it out by computer in 2007. It is not the original birth certificate.

So officially, yes, Hawaiian officials say President Obama was born in Hawaii. I believe that. But why won't they let us see the original long-form birth certificate? It would not be difficult to pull it out of a file and show it to us. So do it.

It's interesting, too, how websites like PolitiFact tell us it's "a valid Hawaii state birth certificate," which it is, but don't bother to mention it is not the original. It's almost as if they're trying to hide that fact, so people won't ask to see the original.

If I ask the state of Pennsylvania for my birth certificate -- let's say, to get a passport -- officials in Harrisburg will do what Hawaii did for Obama. They'll print out a new document based on some of the information, but not all the information, in the original. However, if I wanted to see everything the hospital filled out the day I was born, I'd still have to see the original long-form certificate.

On our president, for reasons of history and curiosity, I want to see all the information.
