I've met some wonderful Belgians, so it can be that all Belgians are bad. But the Belgian medical team's decision to abandon Haiti three days ago is too reminiscent of Belgium's decision to abandon Rwanda in 1994.
Awful.

awfull belgians.wh did they come in the first place-to work in a five star hospital.shamefull of them as a fellow Dr i would have sleepless nights.awfull reall what the did.doesntmatter if bombs are dropping you never leave your patients in harms way!!!and they had just amputated one one of the patients...sick

Meh. I can't buy in to your Rwanda logic. If they didn't flee, they'd've likely been dead. And since the thugs running around Haiti right now are becoming agressive since free stuff from people they don't know isn't arriving fast enough in their minds, it might get ugly there too.
It's not at all fair to condemn someone for leaving unless you have stopped what you are doing and gone down there yourself. Even then, I'd give little credence to your whine.
