It’s the shot seen around the world. Everyone has his or her own interpretation of the glances by President Obama and France’s President Sarkozy at a 17-year-old girl, who seems briefly to have taken their minds off the global recession.
Apparently the gal-in-satin is a Brazilian student, a junior delegate at the G-8 conference in Italy. I suppose she has learned something about power politics.
