Vatican: Our ‘extraterrestrial brothers’ may live in distant galaxies

The Vatican says it’s OK to believe E.T. is out there. But if an “extraterrestrial brother” does show up in a flying saucer, just make sure his Bible is not a cookbook.

Frank, as someone who is interested in all branches of science and is a practicing Protestant and church-goer, I have no problem with believing in extraterrestrial life. Well-respected archaeologists such as Glueck, Albright and Burrows have all confirmed the accuracy of the Bible in accord with archaeological discoveries, and I believe that other fields of science will someday agree with religion as well. The Bible is silent on certain subjects, speaks with some information on others, and is very informative on numerous topics of everyday living. The concept that God created the universe with it's countless worlds and then restricted life to this one small planet is somewhat hard to accept. Having had a very frightening close encounter with a strange craft over a body of water here in New York, I fully believe that there is more to the cosmos than is dreamt of in all of our philosophies. This vehicle was like nothing I have ever seen. To say that it was merely a secret weapon designed by the military is disturbing, as it flew over a heavily populated area. A crash would not only have killed innocent citizens but would have exposed it's existence to the public. Science and religion need not be at odds, perhaps an open mind by both sides is what is needed now. Joseph.

I saw one myself when I was young. Recent evidence, however, is that most of these things, outrageous though they seem, can be explained by secret government programs, mirages of distant events, hoaxes, misperceptions of distance, and ordinary dragonbreath. In fact, the US and UK governments were actually involved in promoting some of these ET theories to provide a cover for their secret activities. The US was flying a saucer-like plane throughout the 50's, but it proved to be too unstable for anything beyond the test phase. I'm hoping they restart it now that stability can be insured with computer control systems as it is on the F-22

I write this blog from a flying saucer.

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate spot to post this, but when I was a kid, I saw bigfoot! No, he wasn't hairy, and he didn't live in a forest. He was just a guy with a very big foot! Possibly two. I don't know, I was too freaked out to check.
