Wish a wounded soldier a Merry Christmas

If you want to do something liberal this Christmas season, send a Christmas card to Private Joshua Sparling, who was wounded in Iraq on Nov. 20 and is recovering at Walter Reed hospital in Washington.

His address is:

Pfc. Joshua Sparling
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20307-5001

If you’d like to send lots of cards to wounded troops, send them (and send stamps so they can write back) to:

Red Cross
Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue NW
Heaton Pavillion
3EO5
Washington, DC 20307

Merry Christmas, U.S. troops! Thanks for liberating the oppressed and giving all of us a better chance for a lasting peace.

Frank Warner

I sent one yesterday evening. It was kind of a cheesy note though :( I'm guessing he will receive so many of them that he won't be able to read them all anyway.
